Gordy Labbe DVM
Dr. Gordy (Brian) Labbe was born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was given the nickname Gordy in the second grade, and it has stuck with him throughout his life and into his career. He attended LSU for both his undergraduate studies and Veterinary School. After graduating from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 (with his classmate Claire Pivach!), he completed a one-year rotating internship at Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Lawndale, California.
Upon leaving California, Dr. Gordy moved back to Louisiana and practiced in Metairie, Louisiana for 6 years before making another move to Lafayette to be closer to family. After spending 2 years in Lafayette, New Orleans was calling him back! He worked in Uptown New Orleans for a couple of years before the opportunity to work at Westside Veterinary Hospital arose. The opportunity to practice high quality medicine with a family feel and amazing staff was what drew him to work at WVH.
While Dr. Gordy enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine, he has special interests in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He has two energetic dogs, Whoadie (Shepherd mix) and Azi (lab/pit mix). Outside of work, Dr. Gordy enjoys hiking, camping, and all outdoor sports. He also dabbles in painting and resin art work!
